Today on You Empowered — How confronting conflict can be your superpower. If I can only learn and teach one still, it would be this: how to confront conflict directly and effectively.

When I hear people say they are too busy, I usually find they are saying yes to too many things; it’s hard to say no! People who avoid confrontation may be likeable but in tough situations, can they be relied on?

What I find is that nothing changes if the deeper issue is avoided, and it often takes some heat to cut through. Most people who shy away from conflict are not lacking in courage; it’s that they don’t see their sensitivity to anger and boundaries as a strength.

Your sensitivity makes you more trustworthy when it comes to expressing power. People will trust you when they can feel how you are aware of how your power could do you harm, but you still tackle challenges kindly and effectively.

I hope today’s post resonates with you!

Best,

David Lesser
